Leslie Palmer holds a Master's Degree in Urban Planning and Policy. She has been with Goodman Williams Group since May of 2007 and brings a strong background in economic development and urban design.
Background
Leslie Palmer is a recent graduate of the master's degree program in Urban Planning and Policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Ms. Palmer has held internships with the City of St. Louis Planning and Urban Design Agency and with UIC's Center for Urban Economic Development, giving her experience with housing development, strategic plan writing, demographic analysis, and extensive research techniques. For her Master's Project, Ms. Palmer created a transit-oriented development plan for a neighborhood retail district in St. Louis, focusing on bringing a mix of residential, commerical, and civic uses to the area.
Ms. Palmer is particularly interested in the economics of sustainable development practices and their application to urban and suburban neighborhood revitalization. She is a fluent user of data anaysis tools, GIS mapping software and other graphics programs. At Goodman Williams Group, Ms. Palmer performs research and prepares market studies for suburban downtowns, retail corridors, CTA station area plans, and residential developments.
